Red hot bagpiping – Planet Pipe has landed

For all you aficionado’s of the fine instrument that many of us play, there are a number of great online locations to listen to the latest albums, releases, solo projects, etc.  One of the best is now back on the air.

Lorne MacDougall is the host of PlanetPipe – which, in his words  “covers all aspects of pipe music, from the traditional to the most progressive. We’ll take you to all corners of the globe, exploring every aspect of the piping world. From piping history to breaking news, from the concert stage to the competition platform, PlanetPipe will fire your passion for piping.”  The site had some problems recently with its server, but according to a posting on the Bob Dunsire Bagpipe Forum, the site is back in business.

First up on the revamped site, a look at the Red Hot Chilli Pipers album.  There’s also an extensive list of recent shows and even a countdown to the next show.  All in all, pretty impressive, and a location to satisfy those late-night bagpiping urges.

Enjoy!
